Come on Dizzy!

July 28, 2005

Jason Gillespie has been included in the tour match ahead of the second Ashes test. My gut feeling is Gillespie will cause a huge impact in Ashes 2005 despite his current poor form and will strike hard in the second test. Gillespie is too good to go through such a lean phase for so long.

  1. Well! It’s certainly possible that Gillespie could come out firing in the second test. He’s due for a big one in bowler’s terms and he has usually been consistent with his wicket taking. It’s just that he has not looked this lacklustre for a prolonged period. Even in the Ind-Aus series in Australia he looked threatening but lacked support from the other end.

  2. “My gut feeling is Gillespie will … strike hard in the second test.”

Surely you meant that Gillespie would be struck hard in the second test?
